The lovely Jenny Adamthwaite writes "From the Living Room". Not only is she a wonderful writer, she is also clever, compassionate, insightful and has definitive ideas about Ketchup. I'm always so pleased when she comments because she always writes from the heart. She is also very talented as many of her postings indicate. I'm so glad that we "ran into each other".
Perhaps best known for his talking penis, Neilochka from Citizen of the Month never fails to delight and shock me. Despite the sometimes-verbosity of his second brain (or is it the first) he is an absolute joy to read, partially because I think that amidst his unconventional humor, he has such heart and truthfulness about him. I'm so glad that we've "met". I like that he pushes the envelop and encourages discussion and conversation in the commenting on his blog simply by saying things that many people would shy away from. Here is a recently controversial post from Neil where he worries about being a stalker.
Marinka writes "Motherhood in NYC". She is refreshing, smart and if I may say so, pretty badass. Wait. That could be misinterpreted. I'm not saying that she has a pretty bad ass (she might, I just have never seen it. It's probably fabulous.)... I'm sayin' she is blunt, witty, and funny. Recently, I really enjoyed her post "My Husband Has the Worst Celebrity Sightings". This post made me snort in my coffee. (That's a compliment by the way). I've only ever had one celebrity sighting and that was a dutch presenter (sooo... not an international celebrity) who does travel shows and has bad blond highlights. He was also shorter than I thought he was. However, he has the ideal job.
Sylvia writes the fantastic blog "Can't Backspace". Since first reading her blog writing with great delight (and wait til you check out her super-cool notebook format, we have also become acquainted on twitter. She is lovely in every way. We've even gotten drunk together sort of... I'd hate (read:love) to see what would happen if we met in the real world. ;) I really enjoyed this entry about Novel Writing. I think many people can relate to this kind productivity.
Richard, who writes Forbidden Planet, actually knows me in the real world. I really value Richard's honesty and straightforwardness. He always speaks from his heart and is a man with tremendous integrity. Richard and I met in University and one day, there he was commenting on my blog, about 17 years later (OMG that makes me feel old). I am thrilled with the reunion. I loved his review and childrens' reponses to Prince Caspian.
Debbie writes Buzzin' By ... with thoughts on the fly. I'm still getting to know Debbie, but I have really enjoyed reading her blog and I think I'm getting a sense of her. As a cellphone hater, I related to her recent post about people talking on their cell phones at 6:30 am. Again, Debbie strikes me as truthful, funny and down-to-earth woman. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better. :)
What can I say about Eli? I love Eli. I'm not even sure I remember how we met. (Do you remember?) He is your host for the Web site called megastructure.com which features wonderful pictures of possible futuristic urban forms that anyone can add to as part of a collaborative art project. I know Eli best through twitter, where he provides wonderful banter and probably most importantly, sweetness. What can I say? I believe what I see in his site, his comments and his photos. What a good guy. (Oh, and Eli, don't worry. This isn't a stalker kind affection. I just think you're cool.)Labels: can you feel the love, yeah i'm just all full of mushiness lately
