- Venison - with blue cabbage and mashed potatoes... Yum!
- Nettle tea - I would try it as long as I didn't have to pick the nettles myself. Ouch!
- Huevos rancheros - deeeelicious.
- Steak tartare - I'm not actually sure? Maybe? I don't think that I'm willing to eat a raw egg since goopy whites make me gag.
- Crocodile - nope. I think I would eat it. I'm not sure...
Black pudding - I'm not sure it was black pudding but it was the Spanish version of it. It was surprisingly good. I had it in Madrid. Somehow eating it somewhere else made it more appealing? Does that make sense?- Cheese fondue - Yep! The first time was in Paris. How perfect.
- Carp - I don't know.
- Borscht - Yes, but I'm not a huge fan. It is OK. I think I prefer roasted beets with smoked buffalo mozerella.
- Baba ghanoush - I'm not sure if I've had it... but if not, I would like to try it.
- Calamari - Nom nom nom.
- Pho - I used to live just down the street from a little Vietnamese place and went for Pho weekly. I used to have "hot-offs" with a friend where we kept adding more and more hot garlic chili paste. By the end of the bowl, tears would stream down our faces.
- PB&J sandwich - absolutely.
- Aloo gobi - Our Indian delivery place gives a freebie of Aloo Gobi with every order. Totally yummy.
Hot dog from a street cart, meat on a stick too - Yep. I actually love getting hotdogs from street carts, but only if they are grilled (not the rubbery boiled things). As for meat on a stick... hmmm... not from a street cart. But I love Kabobs and things like that.- Epoisses - maybe? I love cheese. I usually get a cheese plate instead of a dessert when I go out... so it is possible.
- Black truffle - Oh yeah baby. I have had delicious Black Truffle risotto.
- Fruit wine made from something other than grapes - When I was in University, my good buddy Steve's dad used to bring us the most delicious peach wine. Or at least we thought it was delicious at the time. The truth of its deliciousness will remain a mystery. ;)
- Steamed pork buns - Nom nom nom. Great with hot chili paste.
- Pistachio ice cream - nah. The green always turned me off.
- Heirloom tomatoes - Yes. But they weren't as special as I expected. But I like the pretty colours.
- Fresh wild berries - Yum! Yes! When we used to go canoe camping we would pick them while watching out for bears.
- Foie gras - Guilty guilty pleasure. I hate the reality behind foie gras so I haven't had it since a wedding in France last year. I mean, can you deny forcefed goose when it is offered at a celebration? I know... I guess you can. But I didn't and it was delicious.
- Rice and beans - Delicious. yes.
Brawn, or head cheese - No. Unlikely to try. The name alone makes it impossible for me to try it.
Raw Scotch Bonnet pepper - Once. HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh!- Dulce de leche - I've never had it and am not sure what it is... Google says it is "a sweet spread made from sugar and boiled milk". So I think I'd try it.
- Oysters - YUUUMMY! Yes.
- Baklava - When I was a teenager, a friend's mother (Egyptian) used to make fresh Bakalava for us. It was heaven. Absolutely heaven.
- Bagna cauda - It's yummy yummy. But kinda defeats the purpose of eating healthy vegetables.
- Wasabi peas - Yes. They are *delicious* but make my face break out into a great red rash.
- Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl - Delicious. Clam anything. Delicious.
- Salted lassi - I've had a lassi but I'm not sure it was salted. That sounds a bit racy actually.
- Sauerkraut - My mother is Hungarian and my dad is Polish. Need I say more?
- Root beer float - No. I don't think I have. I'd like to though.
- Cognac with a fat cigar - Nom nom.
- Clotted cream tea - it is wonderful. Despite the artery threatening name, very very nice.
- Vodka jelly/Jell-O - Nope. Doesn't sound very appealing. Given the opportunity though, I don't think I'd say no.
- Gumbo - Only once.
- Oxtail - Nope.
- Curried goat - There was a little Jamaican roti place around the corner from one of my many University apartments. It was delicious.
Whole insects - Shockingly, I have no need to try this. Many years ago, I was supposed to teach in the Congo and the people hiring me told me that fried grasshoppers were a regional specialty during swarming season. When they first served them to their daughter, she asked, "Daddy, whys my french fry got eyes?" Shudder.- Phaal - Nope. I'd like to taste it... but it's supposed to be super-duper spicy. I'd have to have lots of naan on the side.
- Goat’s milk - nope. only the cheese. But I would try it.
- Malt whisky from a bottle worth £60/$120 or more - Oh yeah baby.
- Fugu - That's that poisonous fish isn't it? I don't think I need to. It's like, "extreme eating."
- Chicken tikka masala - Absolutely.
- Eel - I like it smoked but not poached. I found out the hard way when it was served to me curled around a plate. Blerch.
- Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnut - Never tried.
- Sea urchin - Never tried.
- Prickly pear - I think so but I'm not sure.
- Umeboshi - No. But if I go to Japan I'll be sure to try it.
- Abalone - I love most things shellfish, so I'd love to try.
- Paneer - Absolutely. Yummy.
- McDonald’s Big Mac Meal - I have a strange relationship with McDonald's. Very occasionally, I forget that it makes me feel vile and sick after I've eaten it... so once every few years I have it and immediately regret it.
- Spaetzle - Oh yeah baby. It was a staple in my house growing up.
Dirty gin martini - Not a good gin drinker. I makes me mean. (Or at the very least, it brings out the mean in me.)
Beer above 8% ABV - Absolutely. I love Belgian beer. (Kwak is my favorite. I even have the nifty glass.)
- Poutine - What kind of Canadian would I be if I'd never had poutine? Tastes great going down but then sits in my stomach like lead. A few bites are good.
- Carob chips - I have no love of Carob. It is a disappointing food.
- S’mores - Yep!
Sweetbreads - No. Not. Not this.- Kaolin - Isn't this clay? I'm not sure why I would every eat this?
- Currywurst - Haven't had but I love curry and like sausage. So good chance that I would.
- Durian - Once. The smell was just too much for me. Apparently the ice cream is good though.
- Frogs’ legs - Nope. But I would try them.
- Beignets, churros, elephant ears or funnel cake - :) Nom.
Haggis - See Sweetbreads.- Fried plantain - It was ok. The texture was a bit ooky though.
Chitterlings, or andouillette - No intestines for me.- Gazpacho - Oh yeah baby. Deeeelicious.
- Caviar and blini - Yes please!
- Louche absinthe - Yep. Very acidic. Didn't meet my expectations. More interesting for the novelty than for the experience.
- Gjetost, or brunost - Sure I'd try it. It's cheese.
- Roadkill - Ah. No. Not in any kind of normal circumstances at least.
- Baijiu - Haven't had. But I would try.
Hostess Fruit Pie - I like real pie.- Snail - Why yes! I suspect that what I really like is the melted cheese and garlic butter however.
- Lapsang souchong - Loooove smokey tea.
- Bellini - Yes. But I have yet to drink it in Venice. This needs to happen.
- Tom yum - Yummmmm.... Favorite Thai soup ever.
- Eggs Benedict - On special Sundays.
- Pocky - I don't know what this is.
- Tasting menu at a three-Michelin-star restaurant - Three star eh? I've been to three Michelin-star restaurants... but not to a three-star restaurant. Does that count?
- Kobe beef - I've never had but would. I've had the bastardized President's Choice Kobe beef burgers though. I do not believe that they are made with Kobe beef.
- Hare - Yep. Delicious once you get over the "cute little fuzzy wuzzy bunny" thing.
Goulash - Hungarian mother. Of course.- Flowers - Yes. They look pretty but aren't very interesting.
- Horse - Not as far as I know. But I would.
- Criollo chocolate - Oh yeah.
- Spam - Camping meat.

- Catfish - Not sure.
- Mole poblano - Again, nomnomnom.
- Bagel and lox - Absolutely.

- Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee - Once. It was good.
- Snake - I would try it.
